Obedience - Thankful Thursday

Not even sure where to start today. I have so many thoughts running through my mind (guess it comes from not blogging in a week).

This past week, I've been reading a book by Lysa Terkeurst, What Happens When Women Say Yes to God and each evening I've gone to sleep praying that God would reveal in what areas of my life that I need to be radically obedient. I'm still searching for the answer. I just finished the last chapter about an hour ago and am still processing it.

With that said, I am challenging myself to find my holy God "in the middle of life's mundane activities." He is the reason we are to be thankful!

I want to say "Thank you, Lord" for His ultimate example of obedience - His death on the cross. Jesus was radically obedient. His obedience changed all of our lives. Yet, I often find myself forgetting about the awesome Creator of heaven and earth and see only the circumstances around me.

Philippians 2:8
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

Lynn is hosting Thankful Thursday during January 2011. Join with us and praise Him for the little (and big) things He does in our lives!
