What's Next? (or should I not ask)
Ever have one of those days? I feel like it's been one of those months. I will be glad that April is over. On the latest list of things is a crib recall. Apparently the crib I purchased for M two years ago was recalled due to the support bending and a child getting entrapped (and leading to its death). This is the crib that I ordered new parts for last month so we could use it for L2. Now I've got to dig through paperwork and find a receipt. I know where and approximately when I purchased it. I'm gonna call and see if they will give store credit for the crib without the receipt; the crib's company went out of business and is not available for any corrections. How generous is Wal-Mart? Let's wait and see.....

Tiny Encounter
Lynn is hosting Thankful Thursday again today. She had a great posting about finding a broken egg shell from a wild bird and encouraged us to share about a tiny encounter with God.
For me, it was reviewing Creation with our three year old. The discussion occurred a few weeks ago and went like this:
Mommy: "Who made animals?"
M: "God"
Mommy: "Who made plants?"
M: "God"
Mommy: "Who made you?"
M: "God"
Mommy: "Who made Mommy?"
M: "Jesus"
Mommy: "Who made Daddy?"
M: "God"
Mommy: "Who made Sissy?"
M: "Jesus"
So, according to M, Jesus makes girls and God makes boys. The beginning understanding of the Trinity. I'm so happy he's learning!

Changes (Again)
I feel like life is full of changes. Everything changes. Currently the weather is changing - I hear thunder and rain. I'm creating more changes in our household - trying to get it all together. Being stricter on bedtime routines, wanting more independent schoolwork, adding chores to everyone's schedule (to ease my crazy schedule), expecting quicker obedience from my children, etc., etc. I bought a book, Managers of Their Homes, a few months ago. It talks about the importance of schedules in a homeschool family. I am seeing great wisdom in it but am struggling with the implementation. I guess that's because I want it perfect from the get go. I've read a majority of the book but maybe I need to finish it before creating our schedules. I don't know. What do you all do with your days?

Grumpiness to Thankfulness
Okay, today started off rotten...very little sleep with two crying children. Glen and I tag teamed the best we could in our game of musical beds. There may be four hours of sleep between us. Everywhere I turned today, things seemed to turn downward. Let's head for the depression shed, shall we? It's been a rough month. The refrigerator needed repaired. The lock on the security door needed cut off. A tire needed replaced (that's from today). Taxes needed done and mailed off. Numerous videos and remotes are missing and can't be found. L2 is itchy like crazy - a new outbreak of eczema. M is having night terrors and screams for hours. Odd to say that L is the only calm one in the house. Never thought I'd say that after the road we have traveled with our oldest one and the Reactive Attachment Disorder/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. So there's thankful number 1 - I have seen God's faithfulness in L's life. I've seen a miracle worked. I have been a tool in God's hand. Thankful spot #2 - My giving husband who struggles at my side and tells me it will be alright. Thankful spot #3 - The smiles my children give me (when I'm not the crazy mommy). Thankful spot #4 - A sister who listens and reassures me that life is what we all go through with God at our side. Thankful spot #5 - I have a roof over my head and food in the cupboard. Thankful spot #6 - My bloggy friends who read my random thoughts and understand and Thankful Thursday postings which always encourage me. Thankful spot #7 - the most perfect Lord Jesus who cares about me and my speck (which sometimes feels like a plank).

Tuesday's Thoughts
Many things run through my head each day. Blogging has helped me to sort out my thoughts somewhat. Today is no different.
L and Glen ran off to cooking and math classes for the morning. M is running around and fighting with his sword. L2 is hungry as usual. Laundry has piled up again (I took 2 days off of not doing a load). I've reorganized our schoolroom and front living room. Dinner always seems to take second place.
With all this going on, all I want to do is have a cup of coffee, prop up my feet, watch some TV, and have some chocolate. Maybe I will (for just 15 minutes). Tell me how your day is going....

The Letter J
What does the letter "J" mean to you? Do letters have any significance in your life? For me, the letter "J" represents my Lord Jesus Christ, the most important person in my life.
Secondly, the letter "J" also stands for one of my nieces. J's birthday is today. I won't mention how old she is. However, we are closer in ages for sisters than aunt and niece but that is true of most of my nieces and nephews. J is the reason I started blogging. I loved her blog and website - Jaybird Designs (check it out!) and she encouraged me to start my own. Drop over to her sites and wish her a happy birthday! She'd love the company!
Here we are last July at her house. Happy birthday! We love you!!

Resurrection Day
May you have a blessed Resurrection Day! I am so looking forward to our church services this morning. It is always a joyous time to worship. Our church holds a community breakfast and egg hunt during Family Bible Hour which often draws a lot of visitors. Personally, we are bringing 10 new people to service. My niece and her family who recently moved here are planning to attend as well as a family of six from around the corner. I wonder who else the Lord will bring to our church body.
Our Good Friday communion service was such a special time as well. There were a lot of people absent do to illness and injury. Nevertheless, it was such a great time. As Grace Brethren, we celebrate three-fold communion; there's a love feast, the foot-washing, and the bread and cup. I spent quite a bit of time reflecting on what God has done for me. He died for my sins AND He rose again for my eternal life! The two go hand in hand. It's what makes Jesus stand out above all else. No other being has rose from the grave. He is awesome!
He is risen; he is risen, indeed! Praise the Lord and have a terrific day worshiping Him!
